Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) is a natural extract from the dried leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, commonly known as the tea plant.
Unlike your run-of-the-mill over-the-counter (OTC) green tea products, however, our exclusive serum extracts only Epigallocatechin-3-gallate from the plant—using a target isolation removal system, never steeped—to access these abundant healing properties.
Even further, by modulating the protein kinase inhibitor p57, EGCG is able to control and promote keratin and filaggrin formation in your skin.
Filaggrin assembles key proteins within the corneocyte and cornified envelope and is the precursor to NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor), making it a key player for a resilient, robust, supple stratum corneum.
